Once installed, a new button is added to Internet Explorer's toolbar, giving you convenient access to the program while surfing. Just click the new toolbar button while viewing any page, and the program quickly scans that page for all hyperlinks or a filtered list of links and lists those links in its own window. If the program is already open, clicking the LinkLister IE toolbar button brings the program to the front and lists the links from the page shown in the IE window from which the button was clicked.

You can also enter a URL directly into the program and have the program scan the page at that URL and list its links.

The program can list links to any URLs you might have copied to the Windows Clipboard or even read them directly from a text file containing a list of URLs. You can also save any link list shown in the program window to a text file for later use.

Another handy way to list links in the prorgam is to have it automatically build a sequential list of similarly named files that include numbers such as "http://www.something.com/pic001.jpg" to "http://www.something.com/pic100.jpg", by entering just a URL then specifying a start number, end number, and the portion of the URL you wish to increment.

Links can be appended to an existing list so that you can build a list from a number of different sources and have them all accessible at one time.

Once you have a list of links in the program window, you can view any one by double-clicking it, select mutiple links and save their targets to your disk, or view all or some of them automatically in a slideshow manner, "hands-free", no clicking required. The "slideshow" feature makes LinkLister invaluable for viewing online picture galleries or game screenshots.

LinkLister can be configured to stay "on top" of all other windows so that you can visit links from its list without having to constantly bring the program window back to focus. You can also change the program interface to "compact" mode, minimizing viewing obstruction while still having access to the program's link navigation features.

The program also features the ability to hide the window in which it is opening its links from view and from the taskbar, just in case the boss walks in.
